Maryland All-State Comunity Band

Columbia Bands, Inc. is proud to announce the formation of the first Maryland All State Community Band. This celebration of music will take place on July 20th and 21st, 2013 and will feature talented community band musicians throughout Maryland under the direction of Dr. Harlan Parker from the Peabody Conservatory. All musicians that are currently active in a community concert band in Maryland and have attained the age of 21 by July 20, 2013 are invited to audition. The MASC Band will rehearse on Saturday and Sunday morning and perform on Sunday afternoon.

The BSO is offering instrument clinics on February 9th.  At present, they are still accepting applications for the following instruments: flutes, clarinets, trombones and tubas.

Severn Brass Keys Seeking Brass Players.


Severn Brass Keys, a small brass ensemble that performs in the greater Anne Arundel County area, is seeking additional players..... especially French Horn, Trumpet and Trombone.  Interested musicians can contact SBK president Bob Greene at 410-672-3992 or atregreene00@aol.com. Manchester String Quartet Performance, Monday, November 5, 2012

Please join us on Monday, November 5, 2012 for the Manchester String Quartet Concert Series at the National Institutes of Health. The concert is free and begins at 12:30 p.m. in the Masur Auditorium, Building 10. The Quartet will perform "Subtitled by the composer." Beethoven Quartet in F Minor, Opus 95 "Serioso". The Quartet will also perform the cancelled: "If Mozart wrote it, he must have meant it!" Mozart Quartet in C Major, K 465 "Dissonant".
